Uprise Champions Cup Season 4 has been announced as 16 teams will be contending for their share of the $40,000 prize pool.
The beginning of March saw Orgless defeating FlipSid3 2-0 to win UCC: Europe and taking home $9,000 in cash prizes. These two teams, alongside fourteen others, will take part in the new season of Uprise Champions Cup, which will be played online all the way through.
Divided into three stages, the tournament will start on March 13th. The first stage, which will end on April 15th, will feature four groups as the teams will be fighting off in a best-of-three GSL format. The top two from each group will advance to the second group stage.
Deadfox & co. will try to defend their championship
The second group stage will run from April 15-May 15. Two groups will each have four teams where every team will play a best-of-three with one another in a round robin format. The top three from both groups will advance to the final bracket where the double-elimination format will come into effect.
The top placed team in each group will get a BYE in the first round as the second and the third placed teams will go up against each other. All the matches except the grand final will be a best-of-three. The grand final will be a best-of five with the team coming from the upper bracket starting the series 1-0 ahead.
